NBA star fears no obstacles

He’s all over the papers as the new star of the NBA, today his influence is notorious to the public. Lin proves A big victory always comes with a big sacrifice.

Jeremy Lin was born on August 23, 1988 in Los Angeles California. His parents are from Taiwan but immigrated to the U.S in the 70’s.  A Harvard graduate, current NBA player, with a height of 6.3 / 1.9 and weighs of 200 lbs.

A few weeks ago, Jeremy Lin came off the bench to stardom, showing his talent with the Knicks and leading them to victory. The Harvard graduate has become the bestseller in the NBA online store.

A combination of Lin and Insanity,  “Linsanity” is the new name of Lin, his way of handling the ball and his accuracy in his shots has amazed the public.

Lin has impressed the public. Not only his talent, but his education background, his ethnicity and even his color are all highly unusual factors for a NBA player.

The public did not think of Lin as the best player. In fact Lin had to prove his talent in many occasions.

Lin said, “you can’t prove yourself one time. You can’t have one good game and have everyone be, you know, He’s the real deal.” It has to be over and over and over again.”

Lin worked hard in order to communicate the people that he was actually a good player, but his ethnicity continued to be an obstacle.

“And, you know, it’s funny, people are still saying, Oh, he’s quicker than he looks. And, I’m like what does that mean? Do I look slow? Or, people are always saying, He’s deceptively quick, deceptively athletic. I don’t know if that’s just because I’m Asian or what it is,” said Lin

Lin proved to be one of the best players in the NBA

“I thought it was going to end at some point within the first day or two” Lin said.

At first, Lin seemed to have struggles and he felt frustrated.

He said, “There were nights last year where I was just reduced to tears. I just couldn’t take it anymore. And because from the outside looking in they’re like, oh, you’re fine, and He’s still collecting an NBA paycheck, But for me, what really hurt was I felt like I had the ability to do it.”

Lin is a believer he was raised in a Christian home. Lin was very faithful he never lost hope. His patience and perseverance lead him to victory.

With this great success, Lin has encouraged many to pursue their dreams and never give up. There will always be difficult times along the way but faith and love for what you do will keep you on the road.
